3,000 TONS OF HONEY
SEASON’S RECORD OUTPUT BEEKEEPERS CONFER Press Association HAWERA, Friday. The Dominion conference of the National Beekeepers’ Association was ' opened to-day, in conjunction with the South Taranaki Winter Show. There were 60 delegates present. Mr. R. Clark, Matamata, who presided, said the honey season constituted a record this year. The export so far totalled 1,100 tons, and allowing twice that amount for local consumption, he estimated the output at 3.000 tons. The previous best season was in 1924-25, when the* export was 780 tons. The association’s balance sheet showed a credit of. £77, and £J.OO had been placed on fixed deposit.
