GISBORNE’S DECISION Press Association. J GISBORNE, Friday. The poll of ratepayers on the proposal to abolish the Gisborne municipal tramways system was held to-day and the-proposal was carried by 1,286 votes to 1,124, a majority of 162. Two previous polls were taken on the ratepayers’ vote, but were invalidated on technicalities. The council intends to establish a municipal bus service.
