General business and election of officers. 8 p.m. Social evening held by members of Overseas League in Priscilla Tearooms, Queen Street. 8 p.m. Literary study section of the League of Penwomen meet in clubrooms, Unity Buildings, 8 p.m. WEDNESDAY—“Winter Shadows” dance given by flag officers and committee of Takapuna Boating Club in clubhouse, Bayswater Wharf. 8 p.m. till 1 a.m. Akarana Golf Club dance in “Symondsville” Studio, next St. Paul’s Church, 8 p.m. THURSDAY— First night of Auckland Little Theatre Society’s production of “Outward Bound,” in Concert Chamber, at 8 p.m. French Club dance at Click Clack Cabaret, Newmarket, 8 p.m. Opening of new St. James Theatre, with Elsie Prince in “Archie,” 8 p.m. Tiri Tennis Club dance in Foresters’ Hall, Devonport, 8 p.m. FRIDAY— St. Cuthbert’s Girl Guides’ bazaar to be held in St. George’s Hall, Epsom, at 7.30 p.m. SATURDAY— Athenian Club social evening in Amateur Operatic Society’s Hall, Grafton Road.
