DIXIELAND CABARET
CARNIVAL NIGHT TO-NIGHT Dixieland Cabaret can always provide a happy evening, but the gala carnivals on nights after the races are remembered as very happy times. Such an evening is being held to-night, with dancing from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. Music will be provided by the newly organised Dixieland Band, known as the International Seven, who are already making a name for - themselves as a popular cabaret orchestra.
Norma Talmadge and Gilbert Ro- ; land will shortly be seen in “The Dove.” This is Miss Talmadge’s first United Artists production, and is a worthy successor to all the pictures that she has given the screen in the past. It is an ardent and colourful romance of South America, with gambling and dancing and serenading beneath the Argentina moon to give it action, and the love story of the alluring Dolores, the Dove and a gay American from the North, to give it beauty. Noah Beery makes a very realistic villain, all dressed up in the garments of a real South American.
