GOING ONE BETTER
THE sober-sides of the New -* Zealand Rugby Union, who expressed their disapproval of the All Blacks following the immemorial Rugby custom of “swapping” jerseys after a match, will be mildly interested in the story of a big ball game in the United States between two American colleges. “After the match,” says the report, “the captain of the losing team, in accordance with the time-hon-oured custom, surrendered his shirt to the winning captain. The shirt was then cut up into small pieces, which were distributed by way of decoration for the students of the victorious college.”
