TELEGRAPH DELAYS
WORK UNDER DIFFICULTIES Considerable delay to telegraphic matter, particularly Press messages, resulted from last night’s storm in Auckland. A considerable improvement was effected in the Auckland district, however, by noon. All the i ning. however, the officers of tl.. Telegraph Department worked under exceedingly difficult conditions. As it is, communication with the South is not yet altogether clear. A tree over the lino at Rangiriri. in the Waikato, considerably interfered with the Auckland services. Trouble was also reported in connection with the Main Trunk lines. At Mt. Albert a tree across the wires interfered with communication with Helensville and the north.
