TENNIS CLUB PARTY
CARD TOURNAMENT The Isgataringa Tennis Club, Stanley Bay, is one of the city's newest tennis groups. Last year it laid down five courts, with full equipment, in a reclaimed area, and, best of all, opened them free of debt. It has now set itself an objective of raising £750 to build a pavilion ready for next season. The first effort at raising funds was a card evening in the Masonic Hall, Devonport, last evening, arranged by Mr. S. Bates, secretary to the club, and Mr. C. M. Browne, club president, Bridge and five hundred entertained a lively party. The prize-winners were: Bridge, Miss Mann and Mr. Foster Browne; consolation prizes. Miss Mitchell and Mr. Fraer. At five hundred awards were made to Mr. and Mrs. Pollard, while Miss Chapman and Mr. R. Anderson received the regrets prize.
