FRIENDLY BILLIARDS

FIRE BRIGADES AT PLAY A friendly billiards tournament was played between members of the City and Devonport Fire Brigades at the Central Fire Station last evening, the city team winning by four game 3 to one. Superintendent W. L. Wilson, City, and Superintendent H. Follas, Devonport, opened the tourney by playing the first game. At first the two players kept very close together, but shortly before reaching the century mark Mr. Wilson drew ahead and won by a large margin. Results of the games are as follow, City players being mentioned f ist: Mr. W. L. Wilson, 200, beat Mr. H. Follas, 125; Mr. R. McKay, 100, beat Mr. C. E. Cooper, 59; Mr. S. Pelham, 100, beat Mr. M. Fletcher, 63: Mr. P. Williams, 100, beat Mr. S. Stephens. 91 : Mr. R. Walker 97, lost to Mr. F. Gale. 100. At the conclusion of the tourney supper was served by members of the iCty Brigade.
