“PICKING UP HINTS”
AUSTRALIAN DAIRYMEN VISIT N.Z. TOURING NORTH ISLAND (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Thursday. A delegation of Australian dairy factory managers is at present touring the North Island. They are making the tour to return the visit paid by a number of New Zealand factory managers to Australia last year. The delegation consists of Mr. J. Proud, manager of the Camberdown Co-operative Dairy Company, Victoria, and president of the Federal Factory Managers’ Association; Mr. J. W. Martin, manager of the Apolla Bay Cooperative Dairy Company, Victoria; and Mr. A. E. Sweaney, manager of the Inverell Co-operative Butter and Bacon Company, New South Wales. The visitors arrived in Hamilton this evening from Taranaki. To-morrow the delegation will visit the Frankton and Matangi factories, and will stay in Cambridge to-morrow night. They will visit Hautapu, Arapuni and Rotorua on Saturday, and return to the Waikato on Monday, visiting Matamata, Waharoa, Manawaru, Te Aroha West and Te Aroha. After visiting Waitoa, Tatuanui and Morrinsville on Tuesday the visitors will return to Hamilton and will proceed to Auckland on Wednesday. ,
