£25,000 FOR DRAINAGE
LOAN TO BE RAISED PUMPING STATION FOR PT. CHEVALIER The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board met this afternoon and completed the formalities connected with the raising of a loan of £25,000 authorised by the Loans Board. The money will be used to erect a pumping station at Point Chevalier, to complete payments on a branch sewer in the One Tree Hill district, and to extend a sewer along Meola Creek from Mount Albert Grammar School to Mount Eden borough boundary. The board dealt with tenders for improving Meola Creek, and proceeded to a discussion on a request from the Commissioner of Crown Lands for a pumping station in low areals in Kemuera district.
