NEW WINTER GARDEN

COMPLETING THE SCHEME FIGURES AND FLOWERS Four more figures are to be placed in the new Winter Garden in the Domain. They will be figures of children in lead and bronze representing summer, winter, autumn and spring. At present the approaches to the new garden are being put into order, but there is still a lot to do before the original scheme is complete. A heating system has yet to be put in the glasshouse, and the beds have to be planted. Planting will begin shortly. It is proposed to plant creepers such as wisteria, bougainvillaea, begonias, blue solanum and roabg over the pergolas along both sides of the paved courtyard. Water-lilies ajr® to be planted in the pool, which WUI he guarded at each corner with tubs of flowers in season. The flower-beds will be set out in various colour schemes, according to the seasons. When completed the whole garden should make a most attractive sight.
