CUPS FOR SCHOOL
TWO GIVEN TO TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR The Mayor and Mayoress of Takapuna, together with a party of prominent citizens, visited the Takapuna Grammar School this morning to present the Takapuna Cup, which has been donated by the council. The Mayor. Mr. J. W. Williamson, explained that the council had wished to commemorate the founding of the school through the trophy. Mr. C. M. Littlejohn, headmaster, accepted the cup on behalf of the school. On behalf of the Williamson family, the Mayor handed over another cup t* be called the Williamson Cup. Tb« form of the competition was left te the school authorities. The party then inspected the school* and the library. An effort will be made to secure donations of suitable books te fill the shelves.
