A BRIGHT tone was registered on ’Change this morning. The volume of business recorded was comparatively heavy.
In the banking* section, Nationals of New Zealand have been active on a market firm at C 7 6s. New South Wales were slightly easier at the midday call, sellers at £49 12s 6d being supported by buyers at £49. Other shares in this section are firm. Insurances are quiet. South British were dealt with at 60s this morning. In coals, Tlikurangis are active, although there is little change in the market. Most of the better class miscellan- !
