CONCERT IN TOWN HALL
SOCIETY FOR PROTECTION OF WOMEN Through the generosity of Auckland’s most talented artists, a fine programme has been arranged for the concert to be held in the concert chamber on Saturday, June 30, in aid of the funds of the New Zealand Society for the Protection of Women and Children. The tickets are selling quickly, the appearance of the following artists being a guarantee of a splendid evening’s entertainment—Miss Etta Field, Miss Amy Hansard, Miss Jean Allen, Miss Jessamine Kirkwood, the Penwomen’s Orchestra. Two plays wall be presented by leading amateurs, scenes from Stephen Phillips, “Paolo and Francesca,” and a delightful comedy, “O! Phoebe.” The following are included in the cast: Misses Ysolinde McVeagh, Enid Sinclair, Fay Reynolds, Phyllis Duncan-Brown, Thelma Gordon, Wynne Bull, Audrey Perry, Messrs. E. Churchouse, A. Hammond. The production is under the personal direction of Zoe Bartley-Baxter. Box plans are advertised.
