GREY LYNN BOWLING CLUB
The annual meeting of the Grey Lynn Bowling Club was held on Monday night last. Mr. W. H. Newton presided over a large attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron. Mr. C. J. Christie, re-elected; president. Mr. F. Baildon; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. Buckley, L. Binns, Jno. Preston, J. Lye, R. Caddy, W. Curtis; committee, Messrs. O. Gallagher, S. V. Thomas, T. Walker, C. Goldsmith, F. Moran, C. Brown; secretary, Mr. W. H. Newton; treasurer, Mr. E. J. Hutson; green superintendent. Mr. George Fletcher, reelected; delegates to Auckland Centre, Messrs. E. Buckley, O. Galagher, F. Baildon; coach, Mr. T. Tonge; Press reporter, Mr. S. V. Thomas; umpires, Messrs. J. Reed, C. Goldsmith, J. Lye; sole selector, Mr. W. Mincham; deputy selector, Mr. J. Reed; advisory match committe, Messrs. L. Binns, R. Caddy, T. Tonge; auditor, Mr. S. V. Thomas. Mr. T. J. Mclvor was elected a lifemember. Mr. C. J. Christie donated a cup for competition in the B section singles. A resolution was passed favouring the continuance of daylight saving.
