£75 Fine Follows Raid by Police
COMMON GAMING HOUSE ••ON PRETTY BIG SCALE” Archibald Anderson, aged 27, -leaded guilty at the Police Court , his afternoon to a charge of using No 115 Hobson Street as a common gaming house, and was fined £75. Anderson was arrested this morning *hen the police made a raid on the m ises where a tobacconist’s busipgas was conducted. Anderson's emver is at present in hospital, and W hcn the police searched the premises quantity of betting: material was found. Last year accused was fined £75 on another charge of bookmaking. * - He’s on a pretty big scale, then,” •aid the magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, as he imposed the penalty.
