WOMEN BOWLERS

SPREYDON MEMBERS OBJECT Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH!, Tuesday. A. motion to admit women as members of the Spreydon Bowling 1 Club was rejected on the casting vote of the chairman, Mr. G. Thomas, at a meeting last night. There was an attendance of 12 members. The discussion, which was taken in committee, lasted for an hour, and at times it was lively. Subsequently a motion was carried that the women of Spreydon be invited to form a bowling club.
