SIR. J. SALMOND IN AUSTRALIA (United FA. — By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9.5 a.m. FREMANTLE, To-day. Air Marshal Sir John Salmond arrived by the Ormonde. He will prepare a report for the Commonwealth Ministry on the reorganisation of the Australian Air Force. Sir John Salmond has been principal ‘ir A.D.C. to the King since 1925, and slso Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief the Air Defence of Great Britain. He is 17 years of age, a son of MajorGeneral Sir William Salmond. Sir John Salmond married the Hon. Monica Grenfell, daughter of Baron Pesborough. He W'on many decorations for war service. His brother is Air Vice-Marshal Sir Geoffrey Salmond.
