WHAT may be termed the double ▼ ▼ event to be run at Ellerslie on Saturday is comprised of the Te Kuiti Handicap and Stewards’ Handicap. There are 22 in the former event, and 14 in the open sprint, one horse claiming the dual engagement. The half-dozen that appeal most at this stage are the following: Te Kuiti Handicap.— High Pitch, Queen Arch, King Emerald, Te Koroke, Mervette, and Thursby. Stewards’ Handicap.— King Lu, Dave, Lorient 11., Town Bird, Tinokoa, and Romford.
