JOHANNESBURG ROCKED BY HEAVY EARTHQUAKE
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association.) Reed. 11.55 a.m. CAPETOWN, Mon. JOHANNESBURG experienced a terrific bump at 6.30 this morning. There was a noise like an explosion, accompanied by vibrations. Big buildings shook alarmingly, and people jumped out of their beds. Windows were cracked and plaster fell off the walls. The tremors caused rock falls in the mines.
