MR. FIELD’S LECTURE VALUE OF SUNLIGHT Arguing that his cancer .had not been investigated ;tho hospital staff had not tried it. Mr. F. R. Field lectnrJ'^ ! Theosophical Society i ast evenin Explaining the purposes of th,T he used, and quoting from the J!? I cnce of recognised authorities C”'" culed idea of anything 'bin *** i resulting from his internal trmtL* I Again he declared that all his c ' cases were such as had been-wl'l' ias hopeless—usually after and that their improvement still | tinued to exceed his most expectations "‘“‘Sis. EARLY SUNLIGHT - The disease of cancer, he sail , j inevitably followed the spread of 5* | ilised modes of living, and he pjf' ; to the fact that, whereas SwiUerL' | had until recently shown the | cancer rate in the world, that eonsm , was now the only one where esi* was on the decline. This decline • attributed to the present very ges J’ recognition by the Swiss of the r of sunlight. It was because of the peculiar vim* of the sunlight during the first hours after sunrise that he urged cancer patients—indeed all and children especially—to get all •>.. could of the light and open air dirthat particular part of the day .. their feet are in contact with a cot*,. plate connected by wire with the tir 4 so much the better, he said. SOLAR ELECTRICITY It was impossUe to shut ourseii,, off from the solar electricity withvrfccs the air was charged, or to prevent passing through our bodies, gr nature intended us to have at intern a still more pronounced electrical ec nection with the earth. There few better conductors of electric:than a stream of impure water— Ba! ;r , water. Mr. Field explained that with tie kidneys deprived of electrical help, the proper dissolution and elimination <t effete components of the blood cuor take place. Various diseases, notabh cancer, result. The chemical compost tion of the blood becomes derangef But a still greater and less obfiom vitiation of the blood lies in the fc c ; that useless and moribund corpuscle are retained in the blood stream. ‘ Obviously, the treatment should sin at the prevention of further imp®-.;? being added to the cancerous mas. the breaking up and elimination of the great amount of impurity which colstitutes the growth and really pervac > the whole body. “Besides enlisting the services light and air, as already indicAteu, i must administer harmless drugs. ’arc nature’s electrical treatment must w restored —if possible, augmented artficially. With the object of restor.:, potassium to the blood, and at ft? same time dissolving blood impurities, bicarbonate of potash and powders citric acid are given.” But the main curative treatment was electrical, involving earth connections and peculiar application to the kidneys. Mr. Field explained the electrical trea:ment at length. Mr. Field urged nourishing, digestible and well-masticated food, and he/, that the natural appetite is the te: guide—though necessarily cancer in ir neck or stomach must be specialconsidered There was generally . desire for bitter drinks, notably for horehound (marrvbium) beer, tha; which, he declared, there was probat; no better tonic or blood purifier.
