PUKEKOHE SEES CHANCE TO REDUCE INDEBTEDNESS
The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Bowling Club was held on Saturday. There was an attendance of about 40 members. The retiring president, Mr. J. Pollock, said the club was now in the position where its revenue promised to be sufficient to substantially reduce its indebtedness year by year. In assuming office, the newly-elected president, Mr. F. A. Hosking, said it would be his ai mto see this take effect in the forthcoming season, and also to have the greens brought up to the highest standard. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Mr. A. B. Barter; president, Mr. F. A. Hosking; executive, Messrs. J. Crosbie, F. Perkins, E. F. Snell and E. G. Moncrief ; green superintendent, Mr. G. H. Armstrong; delegates to Auckland Centre, Messrs. A. B. Barter, C. Brooks and F. A. Hosking; delegates to Northern Waikato Association, Messrs. G. H. Armstrong and E. G. Moncrief; auditor, Mr. W. F. J. Munro. It was decided that a member of the match committee, to be nominated by the committee, be appointed ex officio a member of the executive. The prizes won during the past season were presented to the winners by the president.
