OTHERWISE INTERESTED

A PART from Rugby, Eden Park spectators on Saturday had one or two items to interest them. The over-zest of one supporter in the Manukau - Grammar Old Boys’ game led Mr. F. C. Pauli, referee, to order the spectator off* the ground. He objected strongly, but the arrival of a constable settled his protests.

Something new in the way of injury signals occurred in the Ponsonby-City match, when the referee, Mr. E. C. Stretton, blew the whistle for ambulance men when he received an injury to a leg. The crowd showed amused approval of the unusual happening.
