GRAMMAR OLD BOYS HOLD ANNUAL REUNION
SCHOOL TRADITIONS About 200 old boys of Auckland Grammar School attended the annual reunion on Saturday. Mr. A. St. Clair Brown presided. The chairman proposed the toast to the school, and referred to the high place it occupied in the good opinion of the community, to its scholastic achievements and athletic prowess. He mentioned many leading citizens and old boys overseas who had passed through the school and honoured themselves and their Alma Mater in the world of commerce, art and literature. Mr. H. J. D. Mahon, headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School, replied. Mr. J. Stanton, who proposed the health of the guests and kindred associations, congratulated Grammar’s old rival, King’s College, on its victory on the football field that afternoon. Responding to the toast was Mr. J. A. B. Hellaby, on behalf of King’s College old boys, and Messrs. D. Hay and V. R. Meredith. A musical programme was presented by an orchestra and by Professor Maxwell W'alker and Messrs. S. Pritchard and W Fanshaw.
