PAINTING COMPETITION

THE quaint old balloon woman in th& painting competition for smaller children, inspired many little artists who must be congratulated on the high standard of their work. The prize has been won by Esme Quick, whose picture is very realistic, the balloons gleaming with light, and a ray of sunshine striking across the old lady’s hair.
