DENTAL TREATMENT FOR MAORI CHILDREN
STUDENTS NOW TRAINING Auckland Maoris have been urging for some time that the children of their race should receive the same dental treatment, in respect to clinics and other measures, as are accorded European children. A reply was received at last evening’s meeting of Te Akarana Maori Association from Dr. Ellison, Director of Maori Hygiene, who said that until several Maori students had qualified in dentistry—they are now being trained —it would not be possible to extend the dental treatment system to Maori children.
