Tudor Opening
Tea and Talk and Pictures, Too DIGNITY AND CHARM About 400 people responded to the invitation of the management to attend a private opening of the charming new Tudor Theatre in Remuera last evening, which will be officially open to the public this evening. The lounge of the theatre, with its dignified Old World furnishings, was afterwards filled with guests, who admired its distinctive charm. Supper was served by the trimlyclad attendants, and a number of voluntary helpers. Mrs. F. Mumford was the hostess for the evening and welcomed the guests in the attractive foyer. She wore a gown of black ring velvet with multi-coloured motifs embroidered iii beads and a cloak of black velvet, lined with crushed satin of amber tonAmong those present were: Mr. and Mrs. S. H.
