MR. HOLLAND VISITS WAIHI

WAIHI, To-day. Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P., Leader of the Opposition, passed through Waihi to-day on his way to Tauranga. Asked if the Labour Party was putting forward a candidate to oppose Mr. A. M. Samuel. M.P., at the next election, Mr. Holland said that he understood that two names were at present before the Labour Representation Committee for selection. Mr. Holland said that he had been deeply impressed by the cordial feeling of the farming community toward the Labour Party. Speaking of the Daylight Saving Bill, Mr. Holland was of the opinion that unless there was organised opposition by the rural districts, the measure would go on the Statute Book permanently.
