Merchants report receipt of overseas cables as follows: Amalgamated Dairies, from their London house, under date June 21:—"Butter, New Zealand, very firm; “Anchor” opening, 17Ss; to-morrow; Danish, 16Ss f.o.b. Cheese, market firm; coloured, 103 s; white, 1045.” Norden and Co., from their London principals, Andrew Clement and Sons, under date June 21::—“Butter, 176 s (equivalent to Is 5.13 d a lb f.0.b.); cheese, 104 s (equivalent to 9.45 d a lb f.0.b.); both markets firm.” Dalgety and Co.. Ltd.. from their London house, under date June 21:— ‘‘Butter.—The market is quiet. New Zealand finest salted, 174 s to 1765: Danish, 172 s to 1745; Australian .finest upsalted, 164 s to 16Ss: finest salted, 162 s to 1665; G.A.Q., 156 sto 15Ss. Cheese.—The market is quiet. New Zealand white and coloured, 103 s to 104 s; Canadian white and coloured, 99s to 100 s: Canadian c.i.f., 101 s to 103 s; Australian white and coloured, 99s to IOsO.
