“Wearing of the Green”
THE members of the Devonport Bowling Club, assembled for their annual meeting last evening, grinned a broad grin as the chairman, Mr. H. S. W. King, explained that the increase in expenses was due to the increased “wearing of the green” due to longer hours of play under the Summer Time Act. The members, however, voted to support the idea of summer time, and more “wearing of the green.”
