r . p. H. Upton left by train for •ftvllington last evening. Mr E. C. Brown was a passenger for the South by the Limited last evening. Mr. A. E. Bussell arrived from Christchurch this morning on the Limited. Mr. J* Hislop, Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, has left by train for the North. a. J- Corrigan, of Hawera, arrived in Auckland this morning by the first express. Mr. Morgan O’Brien, Christchurch, arrived from the South by this morning’s Limited. The Rev. D. Neild will be a passenger for the Islands by the Maui Pomare on Saturday. Commander H. L. Morgan, D. 5.0., of IIM S. Dunedin, left by train for 'Wellington last evening. Mr. A- Anderson, of Christchurch, was a passenger from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mrs. O. F. Nelson, wife of the Hon. O. F. Nelson, will return to Apia on Saturday by the Maui Pomare. Professor McMillan Brown, of Christchurch, will sail by the Maui Pomare for the Islands on Saturday. The Hon. R. A. Wright, Minister of Education, returned to Wellington from Frankton Junction by last evening’s Limited. Mr. A. D. Samson, superintendent of the Newmarket Workshops, returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. Isadore F. Kronfeld was admitted by Mr. Justice MacGregor this morning as a solicitor of the Supreme Court, on the motion of Mr. IT. J. Butler. Mr. J. T. Deehan, of the Wellington staff of the Bank of New South W ales, has been appointed assistant-accoun-tant at the Auckland branch, in place of Mr. W. A. Brown, who has been granted extended leave of absence. At the annual meeting of the Auckland Primary School Committees’ Association, held last evening, it was decided to congratulate Sir George Fowlds on the knighthood recently conferred upon him.
