MEETING OF EXECUTIVE

THISTLE CUP COMPETITION At a meeting of the Auckland Rugby League held last evening, Mr. G. Rhodes presiding, a letter from a committee organised in the North confirmed the fact that the League game would be played at Hikurangi. It was requested for a delegate to attend a meeting to be held on Sunday next. The matter was referred to the New Zealand Council. It was felt that e\ ei y assistance should be given in establishing the code in Hikurangi, but the matter of finance would have to bo considered. Competition for the Thistle Cup will commence on Saturday. The trophy will be allotted to the teams scoring the most number of championship points in the second round of both A and B sections. Should two teams tie, the side scoring the most points shall be declared the winner. The transfer of .1. E. Amos, of the Addington Club. Christchurch, to City Club, was referred to the New Zealand Council for confirmation. The Otago League advised that its representative team would play at South Auckland on September 12, and at Auckland on September 15.
