CARNIVAL DANCE AT GLEN AFTON

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE OPENING The initial dance of the Glen Afton and Pukemiro Women’s Institute proved a great success. It took the form of a carnival night. To improve the flavour of a ham, boil it in the usual way, then wrap in buttered paper and bake in the oven for an hour. Put salt in the cream before churning. The butter will retain the salt and, when washed, be evenly flavoured.
