AUDACIOUS THEFTS
CASE OF ORANGES STOLEN There was audacity in the two thefts to which William Adolphus Cunningham, aged 44, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day. Cunningham was charged with stealing a case of oranges valued at 11s, and a suitcase valued at £2. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said accused had taken the oranges from the back of a motor truck, and the suitcase from a parked motor-car. “He has got a tremendous list.” added Mr. Kelly. Cunningham was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on each of the two charges, the terms to be cumulative.
