POWER BOARDS’ REVENUE
EFFECT OF DAYLIGHTSAVING MORE DATA REQUIRED Press Association. WELLINGTON, "Wednesday. The effect of daylight saving on the revenue of electric-power boards was the subject of a short review presented to the conference of the Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Association. A summary of the replies received to a questionnaire inquiry as to the effects of the Act revealed a variety of opinions. It was apparent that it was on- a system where the lighting load was greater than the industrial load, that the most noticeable effect took place. The lighting peak in most cases occurred later and the revenue was in some cases reduced. A delegate said that because summer-time was a possible factor in revenue reduction it was absurd to jump to conclusions. Further data was necessary before a real opinion could be formulated.
