A QUIET tone was recorded on ’Change this morning No business was booked up at the early call.

In bank«, New Zealand's were threepence down on the last Auckland sale, and several parcels were dealt with at 595. More were nought at 58s 9d, but buyers had withdrawn to 59s fid. Buyers of Unions of Australia were easier at mid-day at £l4 17s 6d, with sellers holding for £ls Is. Insurances are quiet, and registering little movement. Timbers are idle. Kauris are offered at 20s. with no buyers. In the miscellaneous section, pictures meet with a steady demand. Fuller’s are sought at 20s 9d. Buyers of Nationals advanced threepence to 12s 9d.

Holden's Motors are firm, with buyers listed at 325, and no sellers. Taranaki Oils are momentarily quiet, sellers at 11s fid supported by buyers at 11s.
