EGYPTIAN CRISIS

SPLIT IN THE CABINET (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Service) CAIRO, Wednesday. The resignation of Gaafar Wali, Liberal Minister of War, is announced. The incompatability of the two parties has been manifest since March in spite of the political skill of the Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, who desired to perpetuate the combination at all costs. Logically, the Wafd, having a majority, should assume the responsibility of Government, but the Wafd’s attempt to fill Cabinet vacancies with members of its own party caused a storm, and the Liberals demanded an appeal to the country. At present there is considerable uneasiness.
