BRITANNIA

“JESSE JAMES” “Jesse James.” the picture which will be shown this evening at the Britannia Theatre, depicts incidents from the exciting career of the hero of many wellknown boys’ “thrillers.” The notorious outlaw is played by the popular Western actor, Fred Thomson, who is seen in company with his famous white horse. Amazing feats of daring and horsemanship are performed and there are many tense and exciting incidents, a -well-prepared scene being that in which the outlaw, trapped by his enemies, escapes from an ambuscade by the exercise of keen wits and superhuman daring. The period of this picture is that of the American Civil War sind the years following. A strong vaudeville programme will also be presented.
