PRINCE EDWARD
ARGUS AND PICTURES “Argus," the boy wizard and prophet, whose remarkable powers of clairvoyance is daily astonishing all who see him, met with a very enthusiastic reception at the Prince Edward Theatre last evening. Time and time again he told a person something they imagined he could never possibly have known, and time and time again his uncanny powers enabled him to look where human eyes could not see. “Argus” provides a remarkably interesting entertainment which should be seen by all sceptics. A special matinee for wcmen only will be given to-morrow afternoon, and on Friday next “Arugs” will attempt the most difficult test ever conceived. The pictorial side of the programme is not forgotten for it includes the outstanding picture, “Beau Sabreur," a companion picture to “Beau Geste.” The scenes of “Beau Sabreur" are laid with the French Foreign Legion in the Sahara. The battle scenes, in which a horde of Touaregs, the desert wolves, sweep down on a little oasis and meet up with several dynamite mines planted in the sands, present some of the most amazing sequences ever put on a screen. “Beau Sabreur” is a picture you’ll like. It has everything that goes to make a great production. It has thrills galore, heart interest, a romance that is hard to equal, and a cleverly entwined thread of comedy. Gary Cooper plays the role of Major Beaujolais, and others in the cast include Noah Beery, William Powell, and | Evelyn Brent.
