MT. WELLINGTON ROAD BOARD
RATES REDUCTION ANNOUNCED Strong exception was taken at the meeting of the Mount Wellington Road Board last night to the proposed alterations in the Passenger Transport Company’s time-table, under which half the present buses will be cut out. It was decided to instruct the clerk to arrange for the board to wait on the Passenger Transport Company to ask them to rearrange the proposed alterations before presenting them to the No. 1 Licensing Authority. The board affirmed the proposal of forming a transport board. It was decided that the rates for the ensuing year be as follow: General rate, 7-8 d; special rate.
