BOXERS IN TRAINING
CASEY AND POCOCK ARRIVE AUCKLAND’S GOOD PROGRAMME Ever5 r thing is going smoothly for the double-bill fight programme which the Northern Boxing Asociation will stage at the Town Hall on Friday, and patrons should see more fighting in one night than has been witnessed in Auckland for a long time. The programme has everything to recommend it, and the Northern Boxing Association has spared no effort to make Friday a night to remember. As well as the principal 15-round contest between Casey and Hay will be the ten-round fight between Poeock and Broadfoot. Two amateur bouts will also be staged. Both Casey and Pocock have arrived in Auckland, but Hay is not expected until to-morrow. Casey will train this evening at the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium, and Pocock can be seen in action at Mr. Henry Donovan’s gymnasium in Parnell. Broadfoot, as usual, will train under the guidance of Mr. Eugene Donovan at the Central Fire Station. All the boxers will commence work at seven o’clock.
