Market on ’Change Steady
KEEN BUSINESS IN BANKS THE market opened this morning somewhat quietly although a fair amount of business lias been registered. Bank securities are attracting considerable attention.
Bank securities are still attracting the investors. Bank of Australasia remain steady at an increased price. Bank of New South Wales have improved considerably and now stand with buyers £49 10s no sellers quoting. Union Bank of Australia have still maintained their recent rise. Insurance shares are steady although little business has been recorded. Auckland Gas scrip sold this morning at L’3s 4d leaving the market unchanged. Wilsons (N.Z.) Portland Cement changed hands at 36s 3d with little change in the market. All Government and local body securities are in good tone with many buyers quoting-
