THESPIAN CLUB
The Thespian Club held its monthly social and dance in Lewis Eady's concert hall last evening. Dr. C. E Maguire acted as host. A delightful programme was given by Mrs. Arthur Wallace, Misses Binns, Crosher. Higham, Brooke, Gower, Dunnet. Young, Hoare and Hunt, and Messrs. McSkimming, Sharp, Pawson, and Moffitt. Supper and dancing followed. The dance music was provided by the Seattle Band. Among those present were: Mrs. Menzies, cherry ring velvet. Mrs. Humphrey Steward, apricot brocade. Mrs. Francis, rose georgette. Miss Jourdain, blue and bronze embossed georgette. Miss Menzies, peach taffeta. Miss Eady, jade green charmeuse. Miss Gower, black velvet. Miss Mobberley, peach satin. Miss Buckingham, shell pink taffeta. Miss Cranwell, petunia georgette. Miss Crosher, sunset georgette. Miss R. Urquhart, duchess blue crepe de ehine. Miss M. Urquhart, mauve crepe de Miss Hall, cherry ring velvet. To remove salt water from the hair after sea-bathing, wash in a basin of fairly hot water to w’hich a spoonful of acetic acid has been added. When writing a long letter, fold each sheet of paper separately, then put together as usual; it will be a neater-looking budget.
