ELSBY—GRANGE The wedding took place on Wednesday at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Xorthcote, of Isabel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Grange, 12 Princes Street, Xorthcote, and William Arthur, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Elsby, Clarence Road, Xorthcote. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette and silver lace, and a prettily embroidered veil. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Grange, who wore a frock of almond green taffeta with apricot scalloping, and Miss Dorothy Elsby, who wore a frock of apricot taffeta. Both bridesmaids wore bandeaux of silver leaves and carried bouquets of autumn tints. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. About forthy guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Grange received her guests wearing a frock of grey charmelaine embroidered in heliotrope, and she carried a posy of violets. ENGAGEMENTS The engagement is announced of Maud, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Meese, of Hutchinson Avenue, Xew Lynn, to Eric, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Malam, of Astley Avenue, Xew Lynn. The engagement is announced of Lilian Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Edwards, of Matamata, to Carl X. Williamson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Williamson, of Victoria Road, Devonport. The engagement is announced of Alice Marjorie, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Peace, of Otahuhu, to Alan George, second son of Mr. and Nlrs. E. Meredith, of Otorohanga.
