VALUELESS CHEQUES
BUTCHER SENT TO GAOL Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-dky. Frank Walter Barnes, aged 27, a butcher, of Nelson, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this morning to three charges of obtaining goods by means of valueless cheques. He was sentenced by the magistrate to three months’ imprisonment. On a further charge of false pretences accused was remanded to appear at Dunedin.
