PAPAKURA MEMORIAL SERVICE
TRIBUTE TO LATE MR. P. HOLT A memorial service to the late Mr. Percy Holt was held in the Anglican Church, Papakura, yesterday morning. The service was conducted by the vicar, the Rev. W. C. Wood. The church was crowded. The following were represented: Papakura Town Board. Lodge Papakura Nb. 56, tho Papakura Beautifying Society, the Papakura Boy Scouts under Scoutmaster Andrew, also the Scout Committee, and Mr. E. D. McLennon, M.P. for Franklin. The vicar, the Rev. W. C. Wood, paid a high tribute to the late Mr. Holt’s sterling character as a churchman and citizen. He said his capacity for work was' wonderful, and whatever he undertook he did well. He was a staunch supporter of the church. 'The Dead March in Saul" was played at the conclusion of the service hv the rhoirmasetr. Mr. P. Hardman.
