Wally Reid’s death took place on January 18, 1923. Since then his wife has kept all his personal belongings just as they were in the family home at that time. He was 31 years old and at the peak of a personal popularity that has rarely been approached in aimdom, when his tragic death occurred. Ever since the tragic events that m - ked Wally Reid’s last tight for life and comeback, Mrs. Dorothy Davenport Reid has held the little family circle unbroken, with her mother to help her. Mrs. Reid has been a producer, director and actress in motion pictures since January 20, 1923, when her husband’s ashes were laid away in an urn.
