BRIGHT FUNCTION AT PAPATOETOE

The annual ball of the Papatoetoe Town Band attracted a large number of its friends and supporters to the Papatoetoe Town Hall last evening. ! Visitors were present from all the surrounding districts, and a delgihtful evening was spent in dancing to excellent music provided by Robertson's dance orchestra. The hall was attractive with a canopy of gaily-coloured streamers, from which were suspended numbers of balloous. Banks of greenery were arranged on the stage, and gave a restful colour tone to the gay assembly. Messrs. E. H. Burnside and G. Coles were M.C.’s. Among those present were; Mrs. Fred Burnside, wearing a frock of ashes of roses ninon. Mrs. F. Booth, black georgette heavily beaded in steel. _ . .
