MUNICIPAL CHOIR

TOWN HALL TO-NIGHT A specially attractive programme of choral, cello, vocal and organ music will be performed at the Town Hall to-night by the Municipal Choir, Miss Molly Wright, cellist, Miss Mina Caldow, vocalist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, city organist, and Messrs. Edgar Randal and Leo Whittaker, accompanists. Outstanding numbers will include Cesar Franck’s setting of the 150th Psalm for chorus and organ, Rutland Broughton’s fascinating “Faery Chorus” from the opera, “The Immortal Hour,” Sammartini’s “Sonata” for cello solo, and Cesar Franck’s beautiful “Pastorale” for organ. The vocal solos will include a group of songs by Cowen and Curran, and the “Maori Sluxjaber Song” composed by Te Rangi Pai.
