NAPIER PARK MEETING IN FINE WEATHER SURPRISE IN FIRST RACE Press Association. GREEN MEADOWS, To-day. The weather was fine but cold, and the course was in good order, for the Napier Park Racing Club’s winter meeting to-day. Results: MOTEO HURDLES Of £150; li miles O—HOME MADE, 9.0 1 2—BALLYFARNON, 9.3 2 6—TAMETERANGI, 9.5 * All started. Won by four lengths. Time, Outsider Wins Braeman was a warm favourite for the Moteo Hack Hurdles, with Ballyfarnon well backed. Good Sport went to the front at the start, and led till nearing the finish. Home Made and Tameterangi were lying second and third along the back, and Braeman was nearly last. Good Sport tired, and Home Made led into the straight, and won easily by four lengths from Ballyfarnon, who beat Tameterangi by a length, with Good Sport a close fourth. Pale Star and Molong fell, and Braeman was interfered with badly when Molong fell. PETANE STEEPLECHASE Of £150; 2 miles. 1— RADIATE, 9.11 1 2 HEATHER, 10.0 2 6—PEEP O’ BAY, 9.0 .3 Scratched: Maidos. Won by six lengths. Time, 4.31 2-5. Radiate’s Good Win Radiate and Royal Heather were favourites for the Petane Hack Steeplechase. Some Time fell at the first fence and Prince Carol went shortly afterwards. ■ Royal Heather and Awangawanga went to the front, Awar.gawanga jumping very slowly. Radiate was in behind them and Hollycombe was prominent for a while, but lost ground at the fences. Royal Heather led to the straight from Radiate and Peep o’ Day, but Radiate, after crossing the last fence, finished well and won by half a dozen lengths from Royal Heather, with Peep o’ Day another half dozen lengths away third, and Comedy Prince and Professor next. MEEANEE HACK Of £125; 5 furlongs. 3 DREAMY, 9.2 .. .. 1 2—DISHONOURED, 9.2 2 4 ‘RORY MOR, 9.8 3 Sci*.: Fee Simple. Won by five lengths. Time, 1.35. Later Results in Stop Press.
